The Ryder Cup used to be a bit of a non event due to the fact that Great Britain & Ireland kept receiving a beating from America. But then they teamed up with Europe and from that moment on it has been a massive event on the golfing calendar and one we are eagerly anticipating in a couple of weeks time. In last weekend's international match the Scottish team joined forces with the Rest of the World to claim victory. Scotland have never won the event and suppose they really still haven't as they had to join forces with the Rest of the World but well done to the Scottish players in the team. In fact, well done to all the players that played for the Rest of the World and Scotland. It was a proud moment for one particular Scotsman. Stuart Leslie who has been a regular member of the Scotland team that had twice previously scented victory, only to fall at the final hurdle. Stuart collected the trophy with Rest of the World Skipper Ada Stephenson, surrounded by team mates Graham Hazel, Tom Edmunds, Brian Wilson (Scotsman), Will Koch, Steve DeNisi, Derek Richards, Ben Sandham, John Preston, Gavin Samuels and Vice Captain Steve Leng.
